Inspirational winners of the Arabian Business KSA Women’s Excellence Awards revealed

More than 150 attendees gathered to honour the winners of our inaugural awards after in March 2022.


Following the popularity of the event which saw more than 100 nominations received, the Arabian Business KSA Women's Excellence Awards will return to Riyadh on Monday 20th March 2023.


Join an elite gathering of inspiring and influential female leaders pioneering executive and political change in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the country builds towards Saudi Vision 2030.

What is the event?

Arabian Business launched the KSA Women Excellence Awards in 2022, celebrating the brilliant female leaders who have shaped Saudi Arabia’s economy and recognising their substantial achievements.


This programme culminated with a gala ceremony on 21st March 2022 that gathered inspirational role models on one platform to share their experiences and lessons learned whilst also celebrating the winners.


The awards will return in 2023 on Monday 20th March and nominations will close on Monday 27th February 2023.


How can I enter ?

The awards cover a varied range of industries through 18 categories, including businesswoman of the year, lifetime achievement, women in government, start-up, rising star, medical and energy awards.

To be eligible for Business woman of the year the winner should be a business professional generally in a high ranking leadership position within the organisation for which she works with the designation of CEO, Director or General Manager.  The key criteria for the Businesswoman of the Year award are business resilience and agility and management / leadership skills.  The winner should be someone considered to have integrity in business and have a track record in fostering a workplace or environment that is conducive to women’s advancement and gender balance in the workplace.

To be eligible for the Education award the winner should be working in the Educational sector and responsible for developing educational standards in the country.
The key criteria for the Education award is the impact that persons’ work or initiatives have made on improving educational standards in their field of education and the number of people whose education has been improved by their work.  This improvement should have been significant and measurable in the past 12-months.

To be eligible for Woman in Government award the winner should be a professional generally in a high ranking leadership position within the government organization for which she works. The key criteria for the Woman in Government award is her proven contribution to government policies, ability to demonstrate that she has led a change or new way of thinking at government level and the results of her input. The winner must have made an outstanding contribution to the development of the area for which she works in the past 12 months. Please note in every award consideration is always given on the general criteria of how strong they are as a positive role model, what contribution has been in the past 12-months and their contribution of their efforts to the country.

The inspirational Woman of the Year Award is one of the most prestigious awards given.  To be recognised as the most inspirational  woman of the country the impact that the winner has had in their chosen field particularly over the past 12-months must be significant.  They must also have the ability to be a positive, inspirational role model for other Arab women in the country to follow.

To be eligible for the award in the Legal category the winner should be working in the legal field in a high level position. The key criteria for the Legal award is that the person has achieved professional success in terms of being promoted to a high level position or runs their own legal institute.  Success is measured on both their progression in that field and the success they have bought to the organisation in terms of profit, number of clients and exposure.  A further recognition should be if they have led any significant changes to policies particularly concerning women.

To be eligible for the award the winner should work in the media either in the business side of media or as a professional presenter/media personality. The winner should have developed their career in media over at least the past 3-years and have demonstrated career growth during this time.  She has either become a popular figurehead in her chosen field of media or has helped develop that form of media in the country behind the scenes.
